Summer School has been a huge success for the last 3 years. The programme offers new students the opportunity to build their confidence, familiarise themselves with the school and get a head start for the beginning of their journey into secondary school.
Each day consists of a variety of creative, inspiring and enjoyable activities designed to support their transition into Princes Risborough School. Activities will range from code-breaking to t-shirt printing, cooking to science experiments, as well as various games and team-building exercises.
Please open the document below to find out more, as well as apply to attend this year's PRS Summer School!
As part of the year 7 induction programme we have arranged a fantastic opportunity for students to visit Longridge ALF Village and we would like the whole year group to join us in a day’s adventure on the river at Marlow.
Longridge offers school trips with a difference, taking students out of their comfort zones with activities such as Kayaking, Climbing, Dragon boats, Water Orbs, Rafting, Jacobs Ladder and ‘Leap of Faith’. You can view more information about Longridge on their website at www.longridge.org.uk. There are plenty of photos and videos that can be found here that really will help to visualise what Longridge is like, as well as the activities we will be undertaking in September.
Longridge helps young people from all walks of life and abilities to develop water skills, as well as leadership, self-discipline, confidence and respect.
Link days are provided by the school to ensure your child is fully prepared for their first day at secondary school. It's an opportunity for them to meet their Form Tutors, get to know the layout of the school and work in different subject areas.
You can find out more about 'link days' by clicking on the information leaflet below:
Every year a 'welcome disco' is held at Princes Risborough School for all year 6 students to meet and make friends in a fun and informal environment. Parents and carers are invited to stay, whereby various refreshments will be made available from The Hub.
If you'd like to attend, please open the document below and return the permission slip to Mrs Burgess in the Admin Office.
