Parent e-mail - Information

As many of you are aware, we have been providing information and school letters to parents via e-mail for over three years. In this time the system has been very successful and has dramatically helped in reducing our yearly paper consumption.

Recently we updated our parent e-mail system to improve communications and handle changes in e-mail addresses more effectively - In turn we now have far less incorrect addresses in our database!

However it has been brought to our attention that some parents are not receiving e-mail messages from the school. It has become apparent that a select handful of Internet Service Providers (ISPs - BT, AOL, Tiscali etc) are automatically highlighting messages from Princes Risborough School as 'spam' or 'junk' mail. This is usually a good thing to protect you from unwanted messages, malicious web links and viruses. However the spam/junk mail system provided by some ISPs can occasionally mark useful messages as unsafe!

We regularly send letters each week - If you are not receiving these letters and you have asked for your e-mail address to be part of our mailing list, please be sure to check any 'spam' folders or 'junk mail' folders in your e-mail account. If your e-mail account allows you to, please set any e-mail messages from Princes Risborough School to 'allowed' or 'safe' so that future messages will appear in your inbox.
