Adam TaylorCo-opted Governor
Adam Taylor
PRS Governor since 2021
My main interests are my family, and with 3 primary school age children they keep me busy enough, but I have been a Governor previously at PRS having joined at the start of the MAT transition and left due to a family illness. I have a great deal of respect for PRS staff and students, indeed, my wife is a part time teacher here and has been since she was newly qualified, and I am keen to get back involved. I found my previous involvement incredibly rewarding as a secondary school plays such a big part on a community, and it is such an influential time in the students' lives.
In terms of career, I have been involved in fire safety since 1999 and have worked as a firefighter, fire test engineer and fire engineer in the UK and worldwide. In 2019 I set up a fire safety consultancy called Ashton Fire with 2 colleagues and this has been incredibly successful having grown to over 30 people in 2 years. As Managing Director it's been my privilege to lead this team and I hope I can bring some of the skills from my day job to my role as a Governor, as well as building on the skills during my previous time as a Governor.
