Mike DuroseStaff Governor
Mike Durose
PRS Governor since 2019
I have been Head of Year 7 and a PE teacher at Princes Risborough School since September 2018. In December 2019 I was promoted to Associate Assistant Headteacher, overseeing implementing a new behaviour system across the school. My other responsibilities include running the student council and acting as School Games Coordinator. Prior to PRS, I worked at Burnham Grammar School as Head of PE for 6 years, where I completed my NPQSL via UCL project on raising achievement for boys. After completing my PGCE in Bedford my first teaching position was at St Thomas Moore Catholic School in Bedford. I then moved on to Denbigh School in Milton Keynes where I was promoted to Head of KS4 PE. This is my 14th year of teaching, however I still have a love for teaching and coaching PE, particularly in my favourite sport of rugby. I have relished the new challenge of working within the pastoral team at PRS and I have been welcomed by all members of our school community. The character and diversity within PRS makes it a special place! Outside of school I am enjoying spending time with my wife and 2 children and still trying to play some rugby for Aylesbury Rugby Club.

Adam TaylorCo-opted Governor
Adam Taylor
PRS Governor since 2021
My main interests are my family, and with 3 primary school age children they keep me busy enough, but I have been a Governor previously at PRS having joined at the start of the MAT transition and left due to a family illness. I have a great deal of respect for PRS staff and students, indeed, my wife is a part time teacher here and has been since she was newly qualified, and I am keen to get back involved. I found my previous involvement incredibly rewarding as a secondary school plays such a big part on a community, and it is such an influential time in the students' lives.
In terms of career, I have been involved in fire safety since 1999 and have worked as a firefighter, fire test engineer and fire engineer in the UK and worldwide. In 2019 I set up a fire safety consultancy called Ashton Fire with 2 colleagues and this has been incredibly successful having grown to over 30 people in 2 years. As Managing Director it's been my privilege to lead this team and I hope I can bring some of the skills from my day job to my role as a Governor, as well as building on the skills during my previous time as a Governor.

Alice SmithCo-opted Governor
Alice Smith
I was born and raised in Princes Risborough and am proud 'ex' student, leaving in 2014. I have worked in Tescos in Princes Risborough and as a local home carer until I took a year out to travel before studying Politics and International Relations at the University of York. After returning to Princes Risborough in 2020 I joined Insignis Academy Trust (IAT) as an HR Officer. In my spare time I sat on the local town council proceeding over community matters. My time at IAT inspired me to join the LGB after seeing how far the school had come. I am now studying for an International Joint Masters in Security, Strategy and Intelligence and continue to visit PRS regularly as well as harness the benefits of Zoom for LGB meetings.
