The Guild of Parents (GoP) is a parent group formed to assist Princes Risborough School. The main aim is to raise much needed extra funds to help with equipment and projects around the school - simply, they are parents helping the teachers and the pupils.
The GoP is overseen by a small group of parents and school staff. This steering group have several informal meetings throughout the year; discussing fundraising events and where money, already raised, can be channelled to the teachers and pupils. School parents are more than welcome to come along to the GoP meetings*, the steering group are always open to new ideas and new helpers to the group (ooh… bring some biscuits). In addition to this group, there is the GoP community - more parents, family, friends and teachers helping the school.
There are various ways in which a school parent can help; whether it be hands on, from the comfort of an armchair or raising funds while you shop online. There is something for everyone.
Life can get busy, so with this in mind, there are various ways to help the pupils and the school when operating a busy life schedule. You can become part of the GoP community by linking with the FaceBook page (just click the icon below) and keep pace with things. There is also the option to log into the online shopping activities - fundraising while you shop with the school’s ‘easyfundraising’. There’s the GoP ‘shop’, where you can find out what the school is looking for, or what a teacher needs and here you can help with specific items the school may have need of (items in the shop change throughout the year). Or just click the donate button above; here we hope parents and friends will help with our £3 monthly donation - it helps tremendously. In other words, every little helps
